Tokyo in slow motion

Fabulous video down with the work of super slow motion, quick fast forward, stop and reverse all in one feature.  The color adjustments and techniques only add to the quality of this video.

Per the site, here is the description:

Japan caught in slow. This is for my hometown.

Music from a dry cleaner

Very creative way to create music.  And not a bad job at it!  Using the various sounds created from the machinery at a dry cleaners.  Here is the description from the creator of this unique sound of music:

Almost everyday, on my way to a local bakery, I walk in front of a dry cleaners.

When they have the front door open, I hear a lot of interesting sounds coming from their work equipment. Eventually, the different mechanical and steam sounds sparked something in my mind, so one day I asked the owners if I could record a piece of music by using their machines as musical instruments.

I used a puff iron, press and dry cleaning machines, a washer, clothes hangers, and a bucket full of soap.

The bass and lead sounds were created from the buzzing tones coming from the conduits and engines.

There are no additional sounds from any traditional or electronic instruments. Enjoy!

The Notorious IBE | BBoy Event in Holland | YAK Films

YAK FILMS is an international production team whose work with urban dance began with the legendary TURF FEINZ crew from Oakland, CA, innovators of the TURF dancing style. Today the name YAK is synonymous with a unique style of street-based documentation of the global dance movement.

Since its inception, YAK has been dedicated to emerging multimedia production as a voice of resistance and an alternative to the mainstream. At its core, YAK is a visual wrecking crew that uses multimedia to share the talents of young people around the world – and elevate and inspire the masses.

The Notorious IBE was founded in 1998 in Rotterdam. It took place in the Nighttown Music Theatre until 2006. In 2008, after a two year break, the festival moved to the city of Heerlen in the south of the Netherlands. IBE is a yearly 3 day festival, gathering more than 10 000 people from all over the world.

Unlike many other hip hop dance events, the IBE is set up like a festival. Every year the IBE invites worldwide renowned dancers (bboys & bgirls, lockers, poppers, house dancers), DJ’sphotographersvideo editors and special guests. The program, which includes battles, workshops, talkshows, danceshows, exhibitions and music performances, is scheduled in several locations, called Cyphers, located right in the city centre of Heerlen.

There are some INCREDIBLE moves in this video.  The guy at 1:12 really AMAZED me!  Just watching these kids bust these moves makes my body ache.  I am floored at what they can do.

Seattle Pike Place Market street performers, aka “Buskers”

Video of a variety of street performers at Pike Place Market in Seattle WA. Musicians and variety of other performers. In the opening band, you will see people standing behind them. Apparently, each performer is allotted x-amount of time, and when that is up, the next one in line is next to perform. The official term is called a “busker.” Each busker must apply for a license in order to perform their art in Pike Place Market.

Pike Place Fish Market, Seattle WA

Video created from the footage I took while watching the workers sell and throw fish at Pike Place Market in Seattle, Washington.  If you have never witnessed this before, should you ever visit Seattle, this is a must on any list of things to do and see.
